About the event

Collaboration is a fundamental principle for success in the 21st century. Leading collaboratively drives innovation, enhances productivity and fosters a more inclusive and engaged group. Being a collaborative leader goes beyond traditional leadership models and sidesteps the potential burnout of servant leadership to focus on building strong relational networks and leveraging diverse perspectives to tackle complex challenges.
In this flagship training, Collaborative Lead Training provides a framework for HR professionals and managers to embody collaborative leadership by creating structures and environments that enable engagement, innovation and a healthy company culture. Leaders with collaborative leadership skills delegate, help their teams take accountability for their work, and encourage collective problem-solving.
While the theory behind collaborative leadership is backed by organizational development research, this Training, Part 1 focuses on practical, day-to-day actions managers can implement immediately with their staff. Participants will learn how to facilitate collaboratively and elevate their team from simply being "a group of people who work in the same office" to a team that enthusiastically and innovatively solves challenging business problems together.
⭐️Topics will include:
Communication skills: leveraging diverse perspectives to build strong relationships and build a team that supports one another,
Time management skills: facilitating productive and positive meetings to harness your staff members’ best selves,
Conflict mitigation skills: defusing toxic group dynamics,
Psychological safety: honouring equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging for ourselves and others.
⭐️Learning Objectives:
By the end of the Training, Part 1, participants will be able to do the following:
Identify the benefits of a collaborative leadership mindset.
Compare current management practices with collaborative alternatives.
Articulate collaborative leadership strategies they plan to use immediately and strategies they want to implement over time.
This one-day, in-person training is geared toward HR professionals, managers and corporate, community, or non-profit leaders.
